I, for one, am one of the many people who grew up with and miss “Showtime At The Apollo.” I’m sure everyone has their own things that they miss about the show, but some of the things and people I wish I could see again include Amateur Night, Kiki Shepherd, The Sandman, and that old lady that used to sit down in front all the time. She was so well known by the crew that they knew her name. Good times…

Well, if you’re like me and you’re pining for those good times to come back, make sure to thank Jamie Foxx, Marcus King and Don Weiner. These three have come together to create a revival of “Showtime At The Apollo” called “Apollo Live.” This new incarnation of the show will premiere on BET November 29 at 8/7c.

The show will have a new version of Amateur Night, featuring Gladys Knight, Doug E. Fresh and New Edition’s Michael Bivins as judges. Tony Rock will act as host.

Also, an “Apollo Live Lounge” tour is being organized right now, and ShockYa can take you there by providing you with one of five pairs of tickets! However, you have to win them in our Twitter giveaway.

Make sure to follow us @Shockya and tweet the phrase, “@Shockya is giving away tickets to the Apollo Live tour! Follow and RT to enter!” You have until this Monday, November 12, to tweet us (you can tweet us everyday up until November 12), and we’ll notify the five winners then.
