Michael Bay’s “Transformers 4” has had some breakthrough news–not only has the logo for “Transformers 4” been released, but Mark Wahlberg has been secured to star in the film! Wahlberg has recently collaborated with Bay on the upcoming film “Pain and Gain,” an action comedy also starring Dwayne Johnson and Anthony Mackie. “Pain and Gain” tells the true story of three personal trainers in 1990s Miami who get caught up in criminal activity that goes terribly awry.

“Mark is awesome. We had a blast working on ‘Pain and Gain’ and I’m so fired up to be back working with him,” said Bay in a statement. “An actor of his caliber is the perfect guy to re-invigorate the franchise and carry on the Transformers’ legacy.”

According to the statement, “Transformers 4” will begin shooting next spring, and will be in theaters June 27, 2014. “Pain and Gain,’ also starring Ed Harris, Tony Shalhoub, Rob Corddry, Rebel Wilson and Bar Paly, comes to theaters April 26, 2013.
