With production well underway on the Steve Jobs biopic that stars Ashton Kutcher in the lead role, actor Josh Gad (who plays Apple co-founder Steve Wozniak) has recently reassured the dumbfounded masses after the surprising casting of the ‘Two and a Half Men’ star. “I think it’s going to be pretty wonderful,” Gad shared about the film with the news outlet US Weekly, adding how similar Kutcher looks to the Apple legend. “Ashton is going to blow a lot of people away. His performance was absolutely transformational. If he looked any more like Steve Jobs, I think it would just confuse a lot of people in thinking Steve Jobs never passed away. It’s that uncanny.”
Gad also spoke about Kutcher’s dedication onset. “He really immersed himself. I think he has an appreciation for Steve Jobs, the likes of which I’ve never seen in any actor who’s portrayal a real, living person. Ashton is one of the most giving actors I’ve ever worked with. I was surprised by his work every day.” The Steve Jobs biopic is being directed by Joshua Michael Stern and will explore the younger years of Jobs in his 20’s, the founding of Apple and its history between 1971 through 2000. A U.S. release date is on the way.
