Go On the Road with New Trailer From Walter Salles’ Upcoming Adventure Drama

The official trailer for director Walter Salles’ upcoming adventure drama ‘On the Road,’ starring Garrett Hedlund, Sam Riley and Kristen Stewart, has been released by IFC Films/Sundance Selects. The film, which was written by Jose River, also stars Amy Adams, Tom Sturridge, Danny Morgan, Alice Braga, Elisabeth Moss, Kristen Dunst and Viggo Mortensen. The film is set to be released in New York and Los Angeles on December 21, with a national release to begin in January 2013.

Based on the iconic novel of the same name by Jack Kerouac, ‘On the Road’ tells the provocative story of Sal Paradise, played by Riley. Sal’s a young writer whose life is shaken and redefined by the arrival of Dean Moriarty, portrayed by Hedlund, a free-spirited, fearless, fast talking Westerner and his girl, Marylou, played by Stewart.

As they travel across the country, Sal and Dean venture on a persona quest for freedom from the onformity and conservatism engulfing them. They set out to search the unknown, themselves and the pursuit of the pure essence of experience.
