Justin Bieber is handling his recent break-up with his girlfriend of nearly two years, Selena Gomez, the way everyone does, the ‘As Long as You Love Me’ singer’s former stepmom has told Celebuzz. “What he’s going through is what an 18-year-old goes through,” Erin Wagner said. “What he’s going through is expected as an 18-year-old.”
But Bieber’s breakup with Gomez is hard for him to navigate, since he isn’t a typical teenager, Wagner added. “He’s going to go through things that are not [of] the norm, because he’s famous and also very normal for an 18-year-old,” she also said.
Bieber’s break-up from the ‘Hotel Transylvania’ actress was first reported last Friday, November 9. Since then, their fans have been hoping the two singers will reunite. Bieber reportedly spent the night at Gomez’s house on Wednesday. The following morning, the two were photographed arriving separately at the Four Seasons Hotel in Beverly Hills.
Wagner, who was married to Bieber’s father, Jeremy, with whom she had two children, said she’s leaving the singer’s future with Gomez in the hands of fate. “If it’s meant to be, it will be,” she said. “Justin has a lot of other things in his life to focus on, but we will support him in anything he does.”
Wanger also said “Whether it’s in this industry or any other, there can be no expectations regarding anything—in personal or business,” she added. “Things can change all the time.”
