Andrew Payan, the man who claimed to be the son of music mogul Suge Knight and infiltrated Lindsay Lohan’s inner circle, has been arrested and charged with impersonation, Celebuzz is reporting. Payan, who also implicated the ‘Liz & Dick’ star in a theft case, was caught during a police raid of a Hollywood Hills home on November 16. It was the same house where he allegedly squat in with his family.
Payan now faces six charges, including three felonies for criminal impersonation with intent to defraud. He was also charged with felony robbery, grand larceny and felony grand theft. Payan was released on $50,000 bond.
Lohan claimed she was being framed in August after police named her as a suspect in a $100,000 jewelry heist after an all-night Hollywood Hills house party. The party was hosted by one of her close friends, Sam Magid. He reportedly told police that Payan claimed Lohan handed him a bag with two or three pieces of the stolen items wrapped in a T-shirt. He and another friend reportedly returned the items to Magid.
The Los Angeles County D.A. later decided to drop the case entirely. Lohan and her father, Michael, later accused Payan as being the actual thief. Michael, who called Knight, the founder and CEO of Black Kapital Records, boasted that he “kind of broke that case. I spoke to the owner of the house myself and I cleared it up.” He added that the owner told him nothing was stolen.
Michael added that he then called Knight and said “‘What’s going on here?’ And he said ‘My son had nothing to do with it and from what I understand neither did your daughter.’”
