Lindsay Lohan’s drinking problems have returned, as the ‘Liz & Dick’ star has been drinking up to two liters of vodka a day, TMZ is reporting. The actress has become so stressed out over her dire financial situation and her impending probation violation violation, stemming from her Pacific Coast Highway crash this summer, that she has turned to alcohol for relief.
Lohan, who has struggled with substance abuse in the past and has a DUI conviction, would often begin drinking early in the morning, and continue throughout the day. She was reportedly drinking all day before she showed up at the Justin Bieber concert on Wednesday night at New York City’s Madison Square Garden. She was later arrested and charged with assaulting a fellow clubgoer while out at the New York club Avenue early Thursday morning after the concert.
The actress’ friends have reportedly given up on trying to help her, because when she’s drunk, she tends to become violent. Lohan’s reps have yet to publicly comment on the arrest.
