Season 7 ‘Bachelorette’ star Ashley Herbert married her fiancé, J.P. Rosenbaum, yesterday in front of approximately 200 family and friends in Pasadena, California, Celebuzz is reporting. The couple, who became engaged last year during the season finale of ABC’s hit dating reality competition, filmed their wedding for a made-for-television “I Do” special on the lawn of the Langham Huntington Hotel.
‘The Bachelorette’ host Chris Harrison officiated the wedding between Herbert and Rosenbaum. Several former stars from the show and the series it originated from, ‘The Bachelor,’ attended, including Emily Maynard, Trista and Ryan Sutter, Jason and Molly Mesnick and former couple Ali Fedotowsky and Roberto Martinez.
Herbert was escorted down the aisle by two men, one of which was her father. Her pregnant sister served as her maid of honor, and was holding her Yorkie during the ceremony. The couple exchanged their vows under a chuppah, which was decorated with white roses and chandeliers hanging from trees. A vocalist and piano played the Elvis Presley song, ‘Can’t Help Falling in Love.’
Herbert wore an all-white mermaid style dress with a long detachable, embellished train. Rosenbaum wore a traditional white Jewish vamaka. The guests, who were given clear umbrellas during the ceremony, as it started to drizzle, threw white rose petals on the newlyweds.
“I love going to weddings and being inspired. I hope to inspire everyone at my wedding to feel love and good about what we have,” the bride-to-be said to her friends on Friday night.
The event was coordinated by wedding planner Mindy Weiss. She previously organized the weddings to such stars as Gwen Stefani and Gavin Rossdale, Hilary Duff and Mike Comrie and Fergie and Josh Duhamel. Herbert asked Weiss to decorate the reception with soft lighting with romantic earth tones, including white, cream, green and brown.
ABC will air Herbert and Rosenbaum’s wedding on December 16. The special will be titled ‘The Bachelorette: Ashley and J.P.’s wedding.’ Herbert and Rosenbaum, who proposed with a 3.5-carat cushion cut diamond ring from Neil Lane in May 2011, are the second ‘Bachelorette’ couple to marry. The Sutters tied the knot in 2003, after appearing on the show’s first season.
