Long time actor Dennis Quaid has filed for divorce from his wife Kimberly Buffington-Quaid after eight years of marriage. Quaid, who currently stars in the TV series ‘Vegas’, filed the papers in LA Superior Court this past Friday (Nov. 30). He has reportedly cited irreconcilable differences in his decision to split from his third wife who he shares 5-year-old twins with. The 58-year old is looking for joint legal and physical custody of the couple’s children and stated that he would be willing to pay spousal support.
The couple’s decision to call it quits doesn’t come as a surprise. Back in mid October Kimberly Buffington-Quaid filed for legal separation prior to filing for divorce in March before changing her mind in May. A rep for Quaid spoke on the couple’s behalf back in October, but has yet to make a statement regarding this latest development between the two. “Kimberly and Dennis Quaid have decided to legally separate after eight years of marriage. They ask that their privacy and the privacy of their family be respected during this difficult time. No further statement will be given.”
