With Seth MacFarlane’s hit comedy ‘Ted’ being released on Blu-ray Combo pack and DVD on Tuesday, December 11, comedians praised the third highest grossing R-rated comedy of all time on the red carpet at Variety’s Annual Power of Comedy Event. The event honored the first-time feature film writer and director, while raising money for the Noreen Fraser Foundation. While on the red carpet, such stars as MacFarlane, Joel McHale, Seth Green and Paul Scheer talked white trash names, their favorite scenes from ‘Ted’ and why fans of the film should buy it on Blu-ray and DVD.
The Blu-ray and DVD both feature an unrated extended version of ‘Ted,’ a gag reel, feature commentary with MacFarlane and star Mark Wahlberg and an insider’s look at the making of the film. The Blu-ray of the critically hailed blockbuster that brought in more than $218 million in North America alone also features deleted scenes, alternate takes and a behind-the-scenes look at the creation of Ted’s legendary fight scene. The Blu-ray for the highest debut ever for an original R-rated comedy also features a digital copy of the film, compatible with iPhone, iTunes, iPad, iPod, iPod touch, Android and UltraViolet.
