Carmen Electra made her ‘Wendy Williams Show’ debut on Friday, and during her first time meeting the talk show host, she discussed love, loss and ‘America’s Got Talent.’ During the interview, Williams asked the television personality about her past two marriages, to Jane’s Addiction guitarist Dave Navarro and NBA player Dennis Rodman, as well as if there’s any truth to the rumors she’s dating Simon Cowell.
Since Williams often talks about Electra during the Hot Topics segment of her show, the talk show host asked the singer if she’s in a relationship with the ‘X Factor’ judge. Electra said she wouldn’t know if Cowell’s a good lover, because they’re not together. Williams also said she would love to see Electra with Cowell, because she loves the reality show judge. Electra agreed that he’s intelligent and a good businessman, and was grateful that he got her a spot as a guest judge on ‘Britain’s Got Talent’ in London.
Electra also told Williams that she’d be interested in judging ‘America’s Got Talent,’ now that Sharon Osbourne has left the show. Williams said she would love to see Electra on the reality competition, but the actress said it’s just a rumor right now.
Electra also discussed her two marriages, telling Williams that her union to Navarro ended amicably. Their relationship ended in divorce in part because of their 2004 reality show on MTV, ‘Til Death Do Us Part: Carmen and Dave.’ The two were offered many other opportunities as a result of the show, and after spending a lot of time apart, were unable to stay romantically bonded.
After her mother died in 1998, Electra married Rodman after a year of dating. The two ended up staying married for a year, which many people didn’t realize. They were initially going to annul their marriage after the wedding, but decided to give their relationship a try. Electra told Williams she stayed married so she wouldn’t feel the loss of her mother. She added that Rodman was a distraction, because he liked to party, but she had to recognize her pain.
While Electra recently ended her four-year engagement to Rob Patterson, the guitar players of the bands Otep and Filer, she said she would consider getting married again. She said she wouldn’t deprive herself of opportunities, as she wants to look at things in a Buddist way. She added she’s open to whatever comes, and has to live.
Electra also told Williams that she has gotten tattoos to celebrate her relationships. She told Williams she doesn’t remove them after the relationships end, because they’re part of her history. For example, she and Navarro both got tattoos of 11-22, the date of their wedding, which she still has on her left wrist.
