No Doubt has announced its brand new collaboration with British clothing brand Fred Perry, which is set to be released in early 2013. The rock band have worked closely with the Fred Perry design team to create a collection of classic styles which honor No Doubt’s ska and reggae roots.
Some of the items to be featured in the line include a limited edition slim fit shirt, which will be available for both men and women. The shirt is set to be released in early January. The line will also feature a punk inspired tartan check V neck sweater and 1950s style bomber, which will be available in the spring.
Of the collaboration, singer Gwen Stefani said “Fred Perry is a classic inspiration that has been part of our style since the beginning. Doing this collaboration is an honor.”
Bassist and keyboardist Tony Kanal commented, “”Collaborating with Fred Perry is a perfect fit for us. The brand has been part of our lives since we were kids.” Drummer Adrian Young added, “The Fred Perry style was a big part of what the Mod and Ska bands of the U.K. were wearing, and these bands were a major influence on us. It is an honor to do a collaboration with Fred Perry.”
