‘Real Time with Bill Maher’ is set to return to HBO for its 11th season live on HBO on Friday, January 18 at 10pm. The series’ return comes after the 10th season finished its successful run on November 16, with such guests as journalist David Frum, documentary filmmaker Michael Moore, political strategist Ana Navarro and humorist Eric Idle.

Maher first rose to fame with his 1989 HBO special. He has since starred in nine solo specials, including the hour-long shows ‘Bill Maher…But I’m Not Wrong’ and ‘I’m Swiss,’ for which he was nominated for an Emmy Award in the Outstanding Variety, Music or Comedy Special category. Before starting ‘Real Time with Bill Maher,’ the political commentator previously hosted ‘Politically Incorrect,’ which debuted on Comedy Central in 1993. The series moved to ABC in 1997, and ran through 2002.
