Lindsay Lohan is admitting that the article published in The New York Times chronicling her behavior on the set of ‘The Canyon’ is accurate, but is insisting she didn’t drink and drive during the shoot, TMZ is reporting. The actress is telling her friends that most of the stories in the article are true-she was late to the set a few times, she was nervous about getting naked for her role as Tara and she did argue with the film’s producers. But she added that things like that happens all the time on movie sets, so it wasn’t a big deal.
But Lohan is denying the allegations that she drank on set and got behind the wheel of a car afterward. While there was alcohol on the set, she claimed that she’s not that irresponsible. Lohan added that ‘The Canyons’ director Paul Schrader provided the alcohol, and would often pour vodka shots for the crew at the end of a shooting day. But the actress insists that she didn’t participate in the drinking.
Lohan said she isn’t mad about the article The New York Times published. She still has a good relationship with everyone she worked with on the set of ‘The Canyons,’ including the producers, her co-stars and Schrader. The actress added that the filmmaker has even approached her about a new project.
‘The Canyons’ producer Braxton Pope even told TMZ that Lohan was excellent on the set. He added that the benefits of having the actress in the film outweighed the challenges.
