Victoria’s Secret Angel Barbara Palvin is denying that she was romantically involved with Justin Bieber, despite rumors to the contrary, Celebuzz is reporting. The 19-year-old model made headlines about two months ago after she was photographed with the ‘Beauty and a Beast’ singer, around the time he first broke up with Selena Gomez.
“You know how the drama started—Selena retweeted the picture,” Palvin said. “I’m okay to talk about it because I know there’s nothing. It’s ridiculous how this got to the news.” Palvin added she was just hanging out with the 18-year-old singer backstage during the fashion show when the photograph was taken.
The model felt she needed to clear the air after the picture caused an uproar among fans of Gomez and Bieber. Palvin tweeted, “hey everyone. please calm down. he is all yours!!” She added that the run-in with Bieber was innocent, as she just wanted to meet him.
The controversy continued when Bieber and Palvin were spotted attending a show of ‘The Lion King’ on Broadway. But the model denied it was a date, saying it was her sister’s first time in New York, and she wanted to see the play. There weren’t any tickets left, so Bieber got them into the show.
More media speculation came when Palvin tweeted herself in front of a tour bus in Florida. The bus was reported as belonging to Bieber, but the model not only denied the bus wasn’t the singer’s, but that they never met each other in Miami.
Palvin added that the media has given her a hard time with her boyfriend, who isn’t a celebrity and lives in Hungary. The model said it’s hard for him when “everybody is like, ‘Your girlfriend is dating Justin.’”
Palvin added that she’s more in touch with Bieber’s manager, Scooter Braun, than the singer. “His father is Hungarian so there is this Hungarian connection and I talk with him,” she said.
