Director Danny Mooney’s upcoming war romance drama, ‘Love and Honor,’ has received an official release date. The film, which was written by Jim Burnstein and Garrett K. Schiff, will open theatrically in New York and Los Angeles on March 22, while a national rollout to follow. The movie will also be available February 14 on VOD.

‘Love and Honor’ features actors Liam Hemsworth (‘The Hunger Games: Catching Fire’), Aimee Teegarden, Austin Stowell, Teresa Palmer, Wyatt Russell, Chris Lowell, Max Adler and Delvon Roe. The film follows Dalton Joiner (played by Stowell), a young soldier in Vietnam who gets dumped by his hometown girlfriend, Jane (portrayed by Teegarden). Dalton vows to sneak home during the war to win her back, and is joined by his best friend, Mickey Wright (played by Hemsworth), who never misses out on a wild time.

When Dalton and Mickey arrive at the University of Michigan, they find Jane, who now goes by Juniper, and her stunning new friend, Candace (portrayed by Palmer), in the middle of the anti-war movement. During one week in July 1969, when the rest of the world is focused on man’s first steps on the moon, Dalton and Mickey learn the true meaning of love, honor and commitment.
