Nicole Kidman discussed motherhood, including her four children and her role in the acclaimed upcoming horror mystery drama, ‘Stoker,’ with ‘Extra‘ reporter Renee Bargh. While discussing her two older children with her ex-husband, Tom Cruise, the actress said Bella, 20, and Connor, 18, are doing well and finding their own way. “Everybody has their own path and when they find their path it’s such a relief as a parent you know,” she said.
While talking about Sunday, 4, and Faith, 2, her children with current husband, Keith Urban, the Oscar winner said she tries to be strict. But “it’s very hard with two. I try to be respectful, I try to respect them as little people because that’s what they are, so I give them a voice and I listen to them and try to guide them.”
But Kidman added that Urban is the stricter one. “He’s pretty cool, he’s actually probably stricter than me naturally, but with dating I think he’ll be cool as long as the guy’s incredibly decent and fits all the criteria.”
In ‘Stoker,’ which is set to be released on March 1, Kidman plays a mother with a dark wist. She admitted that the psychological thriller is one of her favorite genres, because she’s attracted to “things that get under your skin.”
Kidman also discussed with Bargh the lap dance she gave Jimmy Kimmel the night Mat Damon took over his late night talk show. The actress said, “I improvised that, but that was because Robin Williams did it just prior so I was just kind of riffing off what Robin did.” She added that Urban hasn’t seen the footage, “but that’s okay, because he doesn’t have to see it. He can experience it!”
