Andie MacDowell Works Out with Surprising Co-Star on Groundhog Day

Andie MacDowell revealed the surprising co-star she worked out with yesterday while speaking with a TMZ cameraman. When asked by the paparazzo if she saw her shadow on the folklore holiday, the actress answered that she actually spent the day with Cher. When asked how the singer is as a workout partner, MacDowell said she’s great.

MacDowell added that while she was working out with Cher on the 20th anniversary of the release of the hit comedy, the alarm clock didn’t go off. The actress made the pun in reference to the recurring joke in ‘Groundhog Day;’ in the film, Bill Murray’s character, meteorologist Phil Connors, is woken up every morning by Cher’s 1965 number one single, ‘I Got You Babe.’ The actress also said it was great news that Punxutawney Phil, the groundhog featured in the movie, saw his shadow yesterday and predicted an early spring.
