An all-new trailer and photos from Malcolm McDowell’s upcoming thriller anthology ‘Sanitarium’ have been released. The film, which consists of three segments based on particular patients of a mental institution, will be having its world premiere on March 1 at the Miami International Film Festival. ‘Sanitarium,’ which was directed by Bryan Ortiz, Bryan Ramirez and Kerry Valderrama, also stars Robert Englund, John Glover, Lou Diamond Phillips and Lacey Chabert.
The thriller was written by M. Vratton, Bryan Ortiz, Evan Boston, James Hartz, Kerry Valderrama and Scott Marcano. Each of the three episodes follows Dr. Stenson (McDowell), the primary physician at the hospital, commenting on the recent arrival of a new patient. As Dr. Stenson speaks, the patient’s story begins.The episodes explore the different narratives of the patients, which led to their crazed state of minds. The accounts reflect hallucinations, imaginary voices and altered realities. The stories also include themes of the paranormal, the unexplainable and the mystical.
