New music alert! If you follow Vibe’s list of the top 10 new artists to watch, then you might have seen BabyE’s name. The Florida native and Island Def Jam artist was originally in the metal scene before changing gears and striking out on his own as a solo artist with a rap/pop/rock aesthetic. Here’s more about Baby E:
“It is impossible to put Baby E in a musical box, his mix of rap, rock & pop music creates its own lane. Raised in a trailer park near Pensacola, Florida, baby e eventually moved to Virginia Beach to pursue his music career. Starting as the lead singer of a local metal band, Baby E quickly realized he was meant to be a solo artist with a different groove. After posting a few videos on Youtube he caught the attention of mega producer Dr. Luke who signed him immediately to a publishing deal which was the catalyst for his recent Island Def Jam signing.”
His debut album is expected to be released mid-2013.
