Intense New Images From The Wolverine Released

Fox has released intense new images from its anticipated action adventure fantasy, ‘The Wolverine,’ Comic Book Movie is reporting. The stills feature Hugh Jackman’s title character of Logan, as well as Viper, portrayed by Svetlana Khodchenkova, and Yukio, played by Rila Fukushima. The James Mangold-helmed film, which serves as a follow-up to 2009’s ‘X-Men Origins: Wolverine,’ is set to be released on July 26 in 2D and 3D in theaters.

Fox has released the following synopsis for ‘The Wolverine’:

Based on the celebrated comic book arc, this epic action-adventure takes Wolverine (Jackman), the most iconic character of the X-Men universe, to modern day Japan. Out of his depth in an unknown world he will face a host of unexpected and deadly opponents in a life-or-death battle that will leave him forever changed. Vulnerable for the first time and pushed to his physical and emotional limits, he confronts not only lethal samurai steel but also his inner struggle against his own immortality.
