“Anchorman 2: The Legend Continues” is a comedy that I think a lot of people are looking forward to. I know I’m looking forward to it. In fact, it’s about the only comedy that I’ve actually felt excited about in a very long time. The only other comedy I’d be visibly excited about would be a “Zoolander” sequel. If only they’d make that. Anyway, “Anchorman 2” is going to bring in packed audiences this December.

If you’re a fan of the series, The Playlist has posted some new images from the film. We see the characters in the early ’80s as they embark on a new adventure–the advent of the 24-hour news cycle. The characters are now part of an experimental 24-hour news network and when it comes to this new type of news, there are bound to be conflicts (especially with Ron Burgundy (Will Ferrell), who probably already thinks he’s the star). Check out the image of the team at the news station, along with another image of Ron and Veronica Corningstone (Christina Applegate) walking arm in arm below.

“Anchorman 2” also stars Harrison Ford, Jim Carrey, Nicole Kidman, Paul Rudd, Sacha Baron Cohen, Tina Fey, Steve Carell, David Koechner, Kanye West (!) and plenty more stars. The film will be in theaters Dec. 20.
