Surfing film “Drift” will be available on Blu-Ray Disc (plus Digital Ultraviolet), DVD and Digital Download (plus Digital Ultraviolet) Sept. 17. But, if you want to see a clip from the film before picking it up tomorrow, look below the post! We’ve got an exclusive clip called “A Challenging Day,” in which co-director Ben Nott discusses a particularly challenging day of shooting the film.

“Drift,” inspired by real life events and distributed by Lionsgate Home Entertainment, stars Myles Pollard (“X-Men Origins: Wolverine”), Xavier Samuel (“The Twilight Saga: Eclipse”) and Sam Worthington (“Avatar”). The film focuses on loyalty and friendship in the midst of adversity and corruption that changes the face of today’s surf industry forever.

“‘Drift’ follows two brothers in Australia in the 1970s who battle killer waves, uptight society and ruthless bikers to kick-start the modern surf industry.

The Kelly brothers spend their youth searching for the perfect wave in Australia. Out of necessity the family launches a backyard surf business ? re?thinking board design, crafting homemade wetsuits and selling merchandise out of their van. Battling big waves, small town conservatism and criminals, the brothers give rise to a global brand. A story of passion, corruption, friendship and loyalty, deadly addictions and fractured relationships, Drift tells a tale of courage and the will to survive at all odds.

Directed by Morgan O’Neill and Ben Nott, and based on an original story by O’Neill and Tim Duffy, Drift took home Best Narrative Feature and Best Film of the Festival awards from the Rincon International Film Festival, as well as the Outstanding Achievement in Filmmaking award from the Newport Beach Film Festival. With bonus features including behind-the-scenes cast and crew interviews, the Drift Blu-ray Disc and DVD, featuring Digital UltraViolet, will be available for the suggested retail price of $24.99 and $19.99, respectively.”

Special Blu-ray and DVD special features include behind-the-scenes interviews with the cast and crew.
