Opening in theaters this December is the follow up to last year’s holiday hit The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey. “The Desolation of Smaug” sees Bilbo Baggins and his 13 Dwarf friends reaching the Lonely Mountain to reclaim the lost Dwarf Kingdom of Erebor. Once inside, Bilbo’s expertise as a burglar comes in handy when he must retrieve the kingdom’s treasure. The only thing in his way is the dragon Smaug (voiced by Benedict Cumberbatch).

According to Collider.com, Warner Bros released a new TV spot featuring the confrontation between Bilbo and Smaug, as the Hobbit must outwit the evil dragon to survive. In the meantime, Bilbo’s 13 Dwarf companions battle Elves and spiders, as they try to protect the town of Dale, while Gandolf the Grey and Radagast the Brown try to find out the true identity of the Necromancer.
