One of my favorite movies this year is the Coen Bros’ “Inside Llewyn Davis.” The film is a brilliant look at struggling artist, just before the folk music genre exploded in the 1960. Oscar Isaac’s performance as Llewyn Davis is Academy Award worthy, so it’s going to be interesting to see if he will get recognized for his work.

CBS Films released one of the best scenes from “Inside Llewyn Davis” to build awareness for the small film. The scene features Justin Timberlake, Oscar Isaac, and Adam Driver performing one of the film’s best songs, “Please Mr. Kennedy.” Read the film’s synopsis below from IMDb.com:

“Follow a week in the life of a young folk singer as he navigates the Greenwich Village folk scene of 1961. Guitar in tow, huddled against the unforgiving New York winter, he is struggling to make it as a musician against seemingly insurmountable obstacles — some of them of his own making.”

The new film stars Oscar Isaac, Carey Mulligan, John Goodman, Garrett Hedlund, Justin Timberlake, F. Murray Abraham, Adam Drive, and Max Casella.

“Inside Llewyn Davis” will hit theaters everywhere on December 6, 2013.
