2014 is going to start with a bang (or at least a scare)! Paramount Pictures and Blumhouse Productions is at it again with “Paranormal Activity: The Marked Ones.” The fifth installment in the “Paranormal Activity” film franchise is part sequel and spinoff, as it will surely scare new audiences. Paramount Pictures released two new clips that focus in on the film’s found-footage nature.

“The story begins in June 2012, at a party in Oxnard, California. After a woman dies in the apartment beneath the party, some party goers camera to investigate. They discover items associated with black magic rituals, even the missing tapes from Paranormal Activity 3. When Jesse, the film’s lead protagonist, discovers an inhuman bite mark on his arm, strange forces pursue him while Jesse’s loved ones attempt to save him.”

The new horror film stars Andrew Jacobs, Richard Cabral, Carlos Pratts, Gabrielle Walsh, George Diaz, Catherine Toribio, Noemi Gonzalez, Gigi Feshold, Julian Works, Molly Ephraim, Chloe Csengery, and Jessica Tyler Brown. Christopher B. Landon wrote and directed the new “Paranormal Activity” movie.

“Paranormal Activity: The Marked Ones” hit theaters everywhere on January 3, 2014.
