Lindsey Vonn backs out of 2014 Winter Olympics

There’s lots to love about American ski racer Lindsey Vonn. She’s beautiful and talented, and apparently has a heart of gold. She recently announced she adopted a puppy with a bad knee, just like her. Unfortunately for fans, it’s Vonn’s bad knee that forced her decision not to compete in the Sochi Olympics.

Vonn has already secured bonze and gold medals in the 2010 Winter Olympics and four world cup titles. She injured her knee for the first time in the 2013 World Championships in Austria, but suffered re-injuries during training.

Meanwhile, over at TVMix.com, columnist Miss Lydia tires to be positive, pointing out three other stunning female athletes we will see this February, including Russian curler Anna Sidorova, Canadian figure skater Tessa Virtue and Australian snowboarder Torah Bright.
