Three-time Oscar winner Daniel Day-Lewis will return to present at this year’s Oscars ceremony, show producers Craig Zadan and Neil Meron announced today.

Day-Lewis has become an Oscar winner from his role in “Lincoln.” Day-Lewis has also been nominated for five Oscars in the lead actor category. His other wins include his roles in the 2007 film “There Will Be Blood” and 1989’s “My Left Foot.” He also received nominations for his starring roles in 2002’s “Gangs of New York” and 1993’s “In the Name of the Father.”

The Oscars, of course, honors the achievements made in film throughout the previous year. The Oscars will be hosted by comedienne and talk show host Ellen DeGeneres Sunday, March 2, on ABC. The telecast, which will take place at the Dolby Theatre, will also be aired live in more than 225 countries and territories worldwide.

The Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences is the wrold’s preeminent movie-related organization with more than 6,000 members. Along with the annual awards ceremony, the Academy presents a year-round slate of public programs, events and exhibitions. The Academy also acts as a neutral advocate in the advancement of motion picture technology and also collects, preserves, restores and provides access to movies and other historical items through its Margaret Herrick Library and Academy Film Archive.
