RT is now available for free on FilmOn. RT, formerly known as Russia Today, first launched in December 2005 as a globally-broadcast English-language Russian news channel. Now, the channel has three networks broadcasting in English, Arabic and Spanish.

According to the network’s website, RT, which broadcasts from Washington DC, has 22 bureaus in 19 countries and territories, with influence in Washington, New York, Berlin, London, Gaza, Bagdhad, Cairo and other cities. The network has a global audience of over 644 million people in over 100 countries.

RT provides an alternative perspective to global events and gives audiences the news with a Russian viewpoint. The network is also the winner of the 2013 Monte Carlo TV Festival Award for the best 24-hour newscast, thanks to their reporting on the Chelyabinsk meteor crash.
