Tyler, The Creator, has sensationally been arrested for inciting a riot at the SXSW festival.

Police in Texas stated that the rapper “encouraged behavior causing an immediate danger and injury to persons” at the renowned music event.

If the star is found guilty he could face up to a year in jail.

Tyler reportedly shouted to fans queuing outside to “push through” the gates, which they did.

The star was released at the weekend upon payment of a $25,00 bond.

The arrest warrant, released by authorities, details how the police were called to the Scoot Inn in Austin after reports of trouble.

The police report that they heard Tyler saying “All y’all outside the gates, y’all push through”.

The report says “the crowd waiting in line outside started to try and push employees working the door out of the way.”

When venue employees tried to close the gates the crowd became “unruly and enraged”.

It’s claimed the rapper then repeated “Y’all push through, get in, come on”.

Tyler was arrested at Austin-Bergstrom Airport.

Austin Police Department have stated: “regardless of the size of a crowd, the encouragement of unruly and unlawful behavior is against the law and cannot be tolerated.”

Tyler won the best new artist award at the MTV VMAs in 2011 and is regarded as one of the nation’s hottest rap talents.
