The upcoming “Star Wars” sequel, “Star Wars: Episode VII,” is slowly gaining steam. Several casting rumors have been thrown about, the latest one being Lupita Nyong’o possibly circling the film. It was rumored that the part Nyong’o was up for could be playing a descendant of Obi-Wan Kenobi. But perhaps she’s playing someone else in the film, since CinemaBlend is reporting that another actress could be Obi-Wan’s relative.

Unknown British actress Maisie Richardson-Sellers is the name being bandied about in relation to the coveted role. CinemaBlend wrote that several sources connected to the sequel have told The Hollywood Reporter that Richardson-Sellers is “in line to nab an undisclosed and possibly major role.” Richardson-Sellers certainly fits the bill for the role of Obi-Wan’s descendant, which, according to the Hollywood Reporter, will be “a young black or mixed-race woman.”

Of course, Nyong’o also fits the bill, too. So who is really going to play Obi-Wan’s relative? We’ll know really soon, since filming for the sequel begins in May.

“Star Wars: Episode VII” is rumored to star much of the main cast from the original “Star Wars” films, including Mark Hamill, Harrison Ford, Carrie Fisher, Billy Dee Williams, Anthony Daniels and Peter Mayhew. The film is also rumored to star new talent like John Boyega, Ed Speelers and Adam Driver. IMDB states that the film will be released Dec. 18, 2015.
