If you can’t get enough of those adorable yellow minions get ready for a brand new attraction at Universal Studios Hollywood. Apr 12th is the official opening to the public of the new Despicable Me Minion Mayhem Ride at the theme park. The 3D ride promises to be a treat for Despicable Me movie fans young and old. The event will be celebrated in advance with a special yellow-carpet premier, and keep your goggles peeled for special guest appearances by voice talent from the film as well as everyone’s favorite characters. In addition to the ride park guests can experience the thrill of Super Silly Fun Land, widely known as the home to super fluffy unicorns. We can’t wait!
Well in advance of the ride opening, none other than actor James Franco has claimed the right to be the very first to ride the attraction by camping out a spot in line. Video of him shows him queuing up with churro in hand, armed with a camera to capture a quick selfie should any minions happen to stop by.
If you want to celebrate at home Despicable Me 2 is available on DVD and Blu Ray so you can throw your very own private viewing party before heading out to the park.
