With the success of “The Purge” last summer, Universal Pictures and Blumhouse Production fast tracked its sequel film “The Purge: Anarchy” for a summer release date. While the first film was mostly set inside of a house, the new film takes The Purge outside onto the mean streets of Los Angeles. Don’t get caught outside when The Purge, a 12-hour period where all crime, even murder, is legal that takes place once a year, occurs.

“A couple are quickly trying to get to their home before The Purge starts but their car runs out of gas, the radio announces the beginning of The Purge, the couple have no choice but to leave their car, a couple of meters away stand a group of Purgers on motorcycles. The couple try to survive and fight the purgers.”

Universal Pictures released the sequel film’s newest trailer and it looks amazing! The cast of “The Purge: Anarchy” includes Frank Grillo, Zach Gilford, Michael K. Williams, Carmen Ejogo, Kiele Sanchez, Keith Stanfied, Chad Morgan, and Zoe Borde. Michael Bay and Jason Blum produced the sequel, while James DeMonaco wrote and directed the new film.

“The Purge: Anarchy” will hit theaters everywhere on July 20th.
