Karen Gillan Finds it’s Not Another Happy Ending In Film’s VOD Release

Karen Gillan is discovering there’s ‘Not Another Happy Ending’ with the cable VOD release of her new comedy. Film Movement has announced it will release the film on August 8 on all major providers, including Comcast, Time Warner and Verizon. The cable VOD release will be followed by a DVD and digital VOD release in January 2015.

The UK romantic comedy reunites the ‘Doctor Who’ star with her ‘We’ll Take Manhattan’ director, Josh McKay. ‘Not Another Happy Ending,’ which was written by David Solomons, also features an ensemble cast that includes Henry Ian Cusick and Stanley Weber.

The following synopsis for ‘Not Another Happy Ending’ has been released by Film Movement:

‘Not Another Happy Ending’ follows debut author Jane Lockhart (Gillan), who tries to follow her first success but instead finds herself stuck with writer’s block, which was brought on by happiness. When her struggling publisher, Tom Duvall (Stanley Weber), discovers Jane, who’s his only successful author, can no longer write, he concocts a plan to make her miserable and inspire her creativity to help her get her back to work. But as he sets out to torment her, he may just fall madly in love instead.
