BBC Two is celebrating their long history of showcasing the world of British sports with “50 Golden Years of Sport on BBC Two.” The television special, which will air Dec. 7, will feature presenter Sue Barker as she details BBC Two’s tradition of highlighting athletic prowess.

“Celebrating 50 years of BBC Two sport, this documentary looks back at the origins of sporting coverage on the channel including a look at the creation of iconic brands such as Match of the Day, Ski Sunday and Pot Black. Also featuring highlights from some of the greatest sporting moments broadcast on BBC Two, including the 1985 snooker World Championship final, the 1981 Ashes and Usain Bolt’s 100m world record. Presented by Sue Barker with contributions from Gary Lineker, Sir Ian Botham, Baroness Tanni Grey-Thompson, Steve Cram, Alan Hansen, Clare Balding, Des Lynam, Murray Walker and comedian Alan Davies.”
