Dwayne Johnson (aka “The Rock”) has taken on mythological creatures in “Hercules,” driven fast cars in “Fast and Furious” series and will play Black Adam in “Shazam!” but now he’ll be taking on a new challenge–taking on a Californian earthquake.

The new trailer for the film, “San Andreas” finds Johnson searching through the rubble for his daughter after San Francisco’s been hit by a horrible earthquake. The film also stars Archie Panjabi, Will Yun Lee, Colton Haynes, Ioan Gruffudd, Carla Gugino, Alexandra Daddario and Kylie Minogue. Brad Peyton directs the film. This marks the second time Peyton and Johnson have worked together; the two first worked together in 2012’s “Journey 2: The Mysterious Island.”

Here’s the official synopsis from the film:

“After the infamous San Andreas Fault finally gives, triggering a magnitude 9 earthquake in California, a search and rescue helicopter pilot (Dwayne Johnson) and his estranged wife make their way together from Los Angeles to San Francisco to save their only daughter.

But their treacherous journey north is only the beginning. And when they think the worst may be over…it’s just getting started.”
