Brad Pitt’s next film has been announced by Paramount Pictures. Pitt will star in what is being billed a “sweeping romantic thriller.” Robert Zemeckis is also attached to direct, with the film’s original story by Steve Knight (“The Hundred-Foot Journey,” “Dirty Pretty Things”). The film was developed by Graham King (“Rango,” (“The Departed”) and King will also act as producer along with Steve Starkey (“Flight,” Real Steel”) and Zemeckis.

The film is being produced through King’s GK Films. Knight, Jack Rapke (“Flight,” “Real Steel”), Patrick McCormick (“Black Mass”) and Denis O’Sullivan (“The 5th Wave,” “The Young Victoria,” will act as the film’s executive producers.

Zemeckis is a star in his own right; he’s directed many fan favorites, such as the “Back to the Future” series, “Forrest Gump” and “Flight.” Zemeckis is currently in post-production on “The Walk,” starring Joseph Gordon-Levitt. “The Walk” will be released October 2015.
