The second season of “Da Vinci’s Demons” has been just as heart-pounding and exciting as the first, and if you were a fan of Da Vinci’s adventures this go-round, make sure to get “Da Vinci’s Demons: The Complete Second Season” on DVD and Blu-ray March 3.

The hit STARZ show comes from creator and executive producer David S. Goyer, who’s also been a part of such projects like “Blade,” “The Dark Knight” and “Man of Steel.” The second season brings even more challenges and experiences for Da Vinci (Tom Riley) as he travels to Naples, South America and Turkey in his constant quest for answers. “Science mixes with love, lust and thrills in an adventure that is as inventive as the man who inspired it.”

“‘DA VINCI’S DEMONS: THE COMPLETE SECOND SEASON’ begins as Florence is thrown into chaos in the wake of the Pazzi conspiracy and Leonardo da Vinci must push the limits of his mind and body to defend the city against the forces of Rome. When the dust settles, friends are buried and rivalries inflamed. While the Medicis go to unthinkable lengths to deal with new threats, da Vinci continues on his quest to find the fabled Book of Leaves and uncover the secret history of his mother. He’ll come to realize that he has lethal competition in his quest — new enemies who may be even worse than the forces of Pope Sixtus.”

The show also stars Laura Haddock, Blake Ritson, Elliot Cowan, Lara Pulver and James Faulkner. Bonus features include a recap of the first season as well as featurettes that show just how “Da Vinci’s Demons” was created. “Da Vinci’s Demons: The Complete Second Season” will be available for $54.99 (Blu-ray) and $44.98 (DVD); it’s also available right now on digital platforms. Pre-book is Jan. 28. The third season of “Da Vinci’s Demons” will air sometime in 2015 on STARZ.
