Learn more about deaf education from “See Hear,” a magazine program for the deaf community that is presented in sign language and subtitles. The television program can be seen on BBC Two as well as BBC Two’s live TV channel on FilmOn.

In one of the episodes of “See Hear,” the program takes a look back at a revolutionary documentary and brings viewers up to date on new education techniques.

“See Hear takes this opportunity to revisit a documentary made 40 years ago called Curtain of Silence. This documentary highlighted what were then ground-breaking new teaching methods and technologies to help deaf people speak and hear. We catch up with three of the people featured in the programme, as well as speak to an educational expert to find out how teaching methods and attitudes in deaf education have changed since.”
