Up-and-coming singer Kateri is exploring the meaning of life through her art and love of travel, particularly through the release of her first single, ‘Skin.’ The 22-year-old, who has described herself as “a hippie with a little bit of grunge,” has released her initial song in anticipation of the distribution of her debut album, ‘Room 448.’

The record, which was penned over the course of two years, chronicles Kateri’s process of self-discovery, as she pursued her passion of seeing the world from all perspectives. After working as a corporate makeup artist in New York City and staying at hostels throughout Europe, the musician channeled her life experiences and inspirations into ‘Room 448.’ She collaborated with Rob Thorne at Angel Thorne Music as she recorded the album.

Work on ‘Room 448’ was a result of Kateri’s determination and commitment, after she began professionally pursuing her love of music when she was 14. Her first demo was produced by Heather Holley and Rob Hoffman, who have previously worked with Christina Aguilera, which helped her record a catalog of work with numerous multi-platinum producers.
