America’s longest-running cartoon, “The Simpsons,” has now come to life in the form of “Springfield,” the newest environment at Universal Studios Hollywood. The town will have its residency next to the park’s popular and award-winning “The Simpsons Ride.”

The new addition of “Springfield” was celebrated by a big block party with special guests like the executive producer of “The Simpsons Al Jean, Nancy Cartwright (the voice of Bart), Yeardley Smith (the voice of Lisa) and Joe Mantegna (the voice of Fat Tony). Also among the partiers were Homer, Marge, Bart, Lisa, Krusty the Clown and Sideshow Bob.

The attraction brings visitors into the world they see on their TV screens every week, fully immersing them in the true “Simpsons” experience. The attraction features tons of iconic, fan favorite landmarks, like Springfield Elementary School, Android’s Dungeon Comic Book Store, Mr. Burns’ Nuclear Power Plant (complete with iconic cooling towers) the Aztec Theater, the Springfield Police Station and Apu’s Kwik-E-Mart, where tons of memorabilia is available. Fans can also eat a “Genuine Clown-Endorsed Meal” at Krusty Burger, partake in pizza from Luigi’s Pizza, take in some Chicken Thumbs at Cletus’ Chicken Shack, or have a Taco Fresho at Bumblebee Man’s Taco Truck. Phineas Q Butterfat’s Ice Cream Parlor also has authentic Springfield ice cream and if you want to eat Homer’s favorite food, donuts, you can have some at Lard Lad. Of course, the food and drink options wouldn’t be complete without Moe’s Tavern, a Duff Brewery and a Duff Beer Garden, where guests can actually drink Springfield’s favorite beer.

Mark Woodbury, President of Universal Creative, said the environment is “a must-see experience for Simpsons fans all over the world.” “In spectacular fashion, guests can now enter an animated world that they’ve only seen on television – and we’re really excited to bring that world to life,” he said.

Jeffrey Godsick, President, Twentieth Century Fox Consumer Products, stated that the launch of “Springfield” at Universal Orlando “exceeded all of our expectations with Simpsons fans young and old” from all over the world. ”

James L. Brooks, the executive producer of “The Simpsons,” also said, “I might actually had been excited about the new Simpsons attractions even if we hadn’t put our blood into making it great with our fragile egos waiting for the outcome.”We’re so excited to now bring the world of ‘Springfield’ to Universal Studios Hollywood.”
