FilmOn has now expanded its sports coverage with its latest acquisition! The company has reached a deal with the AFL. FilmOn will now be able to stream the league’s games live to its 47 million viewers worldwide. The deal, which was announced through documents obtained by Broadcasting and Cable/Multichannel News, was officially announced today.

Through the deal, FilmOn will now stream all of the league’s arena football games of the 20-week season, six games per week. The coverage will also include the Aug. 29 Arena Bowl. Combined with FilmOn and AFL’s previous deal to allow the service to air their archived game channel “AFL Classic,” FilmOn can now be thought of as one of the premier places to visit for online arena football coverage.

“Live Stream Arena Football League games are exactly what FilmOn users want – gritty action and immediate gratification,” said FilmOn’s Alki David in a statement. “Our huge international audience has already voiced demand for AFL’s games.”

The commissioner of the AFL, Scott C. Butera, also echoed David’s sentiment, stating that with FilmOn as a partner, the league will be able to help them spread their content to their worldwide audience.
