Citizens are being reminded that freedom is worth fighting for, and the only way to secure those rights is to stand with the Mockingjay. To promote the importance of continuing the quest to obtain their complete freedom from the Capitol, hero Katniss Everdeen is using her influence as the Mockingjay to urge the people of Panem to support District 13’s rebellion. Their idea is presented in the new clip for ‘The Hunger Games: Mockingjay – Part 2,’ which is titled ‘A Message from District 13 – Stand With Us.’

The following synopsis for ‘The Hunger Games: Mockingjay – Part 2’ has been released by its distributor, Lionsgate:

‘The Hunger Games: Mockingjay – Part 2’ now brings the franchise to its powerful final chapter in which Katniss Everdeen (Jennifer Lawrence) realizes the stakes are no longer just for survival – they are for the future.

With the nation of Panem in a full scale war, Katniss confronts President Snow (Donald Sutherland) in the final showdown. Teamed with a group of her closest friends – including Gale (Liam Hemsworth), Finnick (Sam Claflin) and Peeta (Josh Hutcherson)–Katniss goes off on a mission with the unit from District 13 as they risk their lives to liberate the citizens of Panem, and stage an assassination attempt on President Snow who has become increasingly obsessed with destroying her. The mortal traps, enemies, and moral choices that await Katniss will challenge her more than any arena she faced in The Hunger Games.

Francis Lawrence, who helmed the previous two installments of the sci-fi action series, ‘The Hunger Games: Catching Fire’ and ‘The Hunger Games: Mockingjay – Part 1,’ returned to direct the final sequel in the hit franchise. ‘The Hunger Games: Mockingjay – Part 2’ was written by Peter Craig and Danny Strong, who also co-penned the film’s immediate predecessor. The third follow-up in the acclaimed series also features returning actors Woody Harrelson, Elizabeth Banks, Philip Seymour Hoffman, Jeffrey Wright, Willow Shields, Jena Malone, Stanley Tucci, Julianne Moore, Mahershala Ali, Natalie Dormer, Wes Chatham, Elden Henson and Evan Ross. The concluding entry in the franchise is set to open in US theaters on November 20.
