Five kidnapped carnival workers are learning that the show must go on, no matter what circumstances they face, in the newly released poster for the upcoming horror film, ’31.’ The poster has been unveiled by the thriller’s distributors, Saban Films and Lionsgate, which will release the movie On Demand on September 16, and in select theaters on October 21.

’31’ is the latest genre film from writer-director Rob Zombie, who also served as a producer with Andy Gould, Matthew Perniciaro, Michael Sherman, Eddie Vaisman and Mike Elliott. The horror movie was executive produced by Mike Goodridge. The film stars Sheri Moon Zombie, Malcom McDowell, Meg Foster, Elizabeth Daily, Sandra Rosko and Richard Brake. The thriller had its premiere screening at this past January’s Sundance Film Festival.

Saban Films and Lionsgate have released the following synopsis for ’31’:

From the visionary mind of Rob Zombie comes the horrific story of five carnival workers who are kidnapped the night before Halloween and held hostage in a large compound. At the mercy of their captors, they are forced to play a twisted game or life or death called 31. For the next 12 hours they must fight for their lives against an endless parade of homicidal maniacs.
