Netflix’s Mute First Look Images Lure Alexander Skarsgård Into a Futuristic Underworld

Alexander Skarsgård is being lured into a dangerous and immersive futuristic universe in the new first look images for his upcoming Netflix sci-fi movie, ‘Mute.’ The photos have been released in support of the highly-anticipated thriller’s debut later this year in all territories where the streaming service is available.

‘Mute’ is allowing viewers to once again enter the captivating world of visionary filmmaker Duncan Jones, who directed and co-wrote the script for the drama with Michael Robert Johnson. In addition to Skarsgård, the Netflix sci-fi thriller also features Paul Rudd, Justin Theroux and newcomer Seyneb Saleh.

Netflix has released the following synopsis for ‘Mute’:

Set in the near-future, Leo (Alexander Skarsgård) is a bartender living in the pulsing city of Berlin. Due to a childhood accident, Leo lost the ability to speak and the only good thing in his life is his beautiful girlfriend, Naadirah (Seyneb Saleh). When she vanishes without a trace, Leo’s search for her takes him deep into the city’s seedy underbelly. A pair of wise-cracking American surgeons (Paul Rudd and Justin Theroux) are the only recurring clue and Leo is forced to take on this teeming underworld in order to find his love.
