Changing relationships and emerging secrets are forcing Owen Campbell, Charlie Heaton and Amandla Stenberg to reevaluate their lives, and determine how far they’re willing to go live the lives they choose. Their troubling journeys of self-discovery are chronicled in the newly launched second official trailer for the upcoming thriller, ‘As You Are.’

The upcoming coming-of-age drama was penned and helmed by Miles Joris-Peyrafitte. The filmmaker’s feature film writing and directorial debuts tells an intimate and tragic love story that captures the confusion and unease of adolescence in a culture that’s not yet caught up to the social acceptances of modern standards.

‘As You Are’ is set to be released on February 24 at New York City’s Village East Cinema, before it expands to Los Angeles’ Laemmle Noho and Albany’s Spectrum 8 theaters on March 3.-The thriller was shown in the U.S. Dramatic Competition section at last year’s Sundance Film Festival, where it won the Special Jury Award.

The following synopsis has been released for ‘As You Are’:

Jack (Owen Campbell) is a high school student who lives with his single mother Karen (Mary Stuart Masterson) in a nondescript suburban town. Considered a social outcast and loner, Jack is friendless until Karen’s new boyfriend Tom (Scott Cohen) moves in and brings his son Mark (Charlie Heaton) into their lives. The two outsiders quickly bond and form a tight friendship and, after a chance encounter at a diner, bring fellow student Sarah (Amandla Stenberg) into their group. The three teens become each other’s saving grace until changing relationships and emerging secrets force them to look at themselves and see how far they are willing to go live the lives they choose.
