Transformers: The Last Knight
Transformers: The Last Knight Movie Poster

At the end of the month, there’s going to be a new Michael Bay movie in theaters! It must be summer, amirite?!

“Transformers: The Last Knight” is the fifth installment in the Transformers movie franchise and it’s title sounds very similar to “Star Wars: The Last Jedi.” And of course, a Jedi is also a Knight, so could they be connected? Probably not.

The new movie poster features the two very different worlds of the franchise colliding into one epic battle that will most likely clock in at over 45 minutes. While most of these movies aren’t very good, you do get a good bang for your buck when it comes to sitting in a movie theater. And if you don’t have air conditioning, you’re spending at least a good 3-and-a-half hours (with commercials and trailers) in an ice cold movie theater on a hot day during the summer. Is this why these types of movies are needlessly long?

The Last Knight shatters the core myths of the Transformers franchise, and redefines what it means to be a hero. Humans and Transformers are at war, Optimus Prime is gone. The key to saving our future lies buried in the secrets of the past, in the hidden history of Transformers on Earth. Saving our world falls upon the shoulders of an unlikely alliance: Cade Yeager (Mark Wahlberg); Bumblebee; an English Lord (Sir Anthony Hopkins); and an Oxford Professor (Laura Haddock).

There comes a moment in everyone’s life when we are called upon to make a difference. In Transformers: The Last Knight, the hunted will become heroes. Heroes will become villains. Only one world will survive: theirs, or ours.

The new movie from Paramount Pictures stars Mark Wahlberg, Stanley Tucci, Isabela Moner, Josh Duhamel, Tyrese Gibson, John Turturro, and Sir Anthony Hopkins.

“Transformers: The Last Knight” hits theaters on June 23.
