British screen star Mem Ferda (Pusher, The Devil’s Double, Ill Manors) is clearly set on bringing British Indie films to the forefront of world cinema. With his recent starring role in LONDON HEIST due to be released by Lionsgate UK July 17th (2017) and the recent release of the award winning feature SMOKING GUNS, Mem is already gearing up for his next lead role, in the form of crime drama, GUNFATHER.

Written by filmmaker Neil Jones (Age of Kill, Risen, The Reverend) GUNFATHER tells the story of Mike Demir, a retired gangster, who trades sunny Spain for London, reuniting with his estranged ex-wife and former criminal colleagues to investigate the disappearance of his only son.

Mem Ferda commented, “the script is crafted with such authentic detail, and a unique style, I’m very confident it will place GUNFATHER up there with the best of the genre. I’m excited to be bringing a revenge tragedy that puts characters front and center, unlike effects-driven movies where the focus on human dynamics are lost”. GUNFATHER is set to go into pre-production later this year, shooting in Spain and Central London.

Rumored Cast includes:

Mem Ferda (Pusher, Miss You Already, Hard Tide)
Jason Flemyng (Snatch, Lock Stock and Two Smoking Barrels)
Tony Denham (The Football Factory, We Still Steal the Old Way)
Max Wrottesley (Guardians of the Galaxy, Hugo)
Producer: Neil Jones
Cinematographer: Edward Ames
Composer: Phillip Curran
Casting by: Kate Plantin
