(L-R): Alexander Ludwig and Sam Keeley will star in writer-director Robert Port’s action war thriller, ‘Peace.’

Alexander Ludwig and Sam Keeley have been cast in the lead roles of Enderby Entertainment’s upcoming World War II thriller, ‘Peace.’ The news of the performers joining the action movie coincides with Academy Award-winning documentarian Robert Port signing on to make his feature film writing and directorial debuts on the drama.

The announcement of Ludwig, Keeley and Port signing onto the thriller was made by Enderby Entertainment. One of the financing and production company’s co-founders, Rick Dugdale, is set to produce ‘Peace,’ along with Richard Bullock. The movie’s executive producers include Ludwig and Maury Povich, who previously worked with Port on the Oscar-winning short film, ‘Twin Towers.’

Principal photography is set to commence on ‘Peace’ later this month in British Columbia. The drama, which is based on the bestselling novel of the same name by Richard Bausch, is set to be released in 2019. UTA Independent Film Group is repping worldwide rights for the thriller.

‘Peace’ follows four American soldiers who set out on the grueling ascent of an Italian mountainside in the closing days of WWII. They’re haunted by their evil sergeant’s cold-blooded murder of a young woman, and are guided by an old Italian man who has uncertain loyalties.

“We are thrilled to work with Robert on this exciting adaptation of ‘Peace.’ WWII films are always a fascinating lens of history, and this morality tale is now more relevant than ever,” Dugdale said.

“When I created MoPo Entertainment, it was with the intent of doing projects like ‘Peace.’ I can’t wait for my audience and fans of the cinema everywhere to see this film. I’m thrilled Robert and Rick brought this to me, it’s an important movie for us all and glad to be a part of it.” Povich said.
