John Travolta Becomes The Fanatic in Thriller’s Official Trailer, Poster and Stills

Not every Hollywood story can have a happy ending. Movie fans are being warned about the danger of delving too deep into the world of fame, and crossing the line into the personal lives of their favorite celebrities, in the newly released official trailer for the upcoming thriller, ‘The Fanatic.’

The trailer for the film follows John Travolta as he portrays Moose, a man who’s obsessed with meeting his favorite action movie star, Hunter Dunbar, who’s played by Devon Sawa. When he’s cheated out of his opportunity to finally meet Hunter, Moose gets a little help from his friend Leah (Ana Golja), a well-connected paparazzi photographer, who knows how to find celebrity homes. Moose turns to stalking to get the celebrity interaction he feels he deserves, and while harmless at first, Moose’s actions begin to take a dark turn as his obsession grows stronger. As the visits continue to escalate, Hunter finds himself in increasing danger.

‘The Fanatic’ reunites Travolta and Sawa, who previously co-starred together in the 2016 action drama, ‘Life on the Line.’ Their new film was directed by musician Fred Durst, who also co-wrote the script with Dave Bekerman. The upcoming thriller is set to be released in theaters on August 30, and then On Demand and Digital on September 6, courtesy of Quiver Distribution.
